The Government of India has appointed Shri. V. S. Vijayaraghavan Ex. MP as New Chairman of Coir Board, Kochi vide communication No.A-2(4)/2002-Coir/Estt dated 4th December, 2008 from The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, New Delhi.
